4 Things I liked & Would include in my production

  1. Costume choice for the bride. Its traditional and I thought it worked.
  2. The use of the fan. Reinforces spanish themes.
  3. The spirit of the Servant, cheerful and happy. Contrast with the brides bitter attitudes.
  4. Singing of the servant.
4 Things I didn't like & Would adapt in my production

  1. I would want the bride to move around more, instead of being so static.
  2. Servants costume: I want my costume for the servant to be more traditional gypsy - bright and colourful.
  3. Leonardo's attitude: I want him to be more aggressive yet passionate towards the bride, to show his love for her.
  4. To make more of the argument between them both. To create a tense moment.

Act Two, Scene One

Feelings Towards Characters Throughout Scene

Bride:
I want the audience to feel sorry for her because she wants to be with Leonardo but she cant, yet at the same time I want to get across that it's not only that which is causing her to be depressed. I want to also address the fact that she is acting the way she is because she doesn't want to be with the Bridegroom. I will get the actress playing this role to demonstrate

Leonardo:

Servant:

Lighting Idea's: Dark, dingy light to represent the setting of a cave.

Awkward tension...

The bride doesn't want to really marry the bridegroom - this is shown through the way she acts towards the servant at the end of the scene. (arrogant)

Bride & Bridegroom very formal with each other.

When the father is talking about his daughter (the Bride) he emphasises that she is sweet and caring but also has another element to her personality.
